With over 30 cu. ft. of storage, the PRO 48holds a breathtaking assortment of foods, and keeps it all as fresh as the day it was picked or caught. Dual refrigeration, with two compressors and three evaporators, provides just the right environment for fresh or frozen foods, and prevents odor transfer. A magnetic door seal system keeps food fresh or frozen even if your power goes out. It's the biggest, boldest, freshest Sub-Zero of all.

Dual Refrigeration Keeps Food Fresher Longer

Like every Sub-Zero, the refrigerator and freezer areas in a PRO 48 each have their own dedicated, sealed system with compressor and evaporator. So fresh foods get the humid yet chilly climate they need, while frozen and convenience foods get dry, frigid air to prevent decay and freezer burn. Even beyond that, the PRO 48 also has a third evaporator for the refrigerator drawers to give produce its own special, higher-humidity environment to keep it fresher longer.

With 18.5 cu. ft. of refrigerator capacity and 11.7 cu. ft. of freezer space, it's the most capacious Sub-Zero refrigerator of them all.

Every component of every single Sub-Zero unit is tested in its U.S. manufacturing facilities before assembly, then every completed product is factory-tested for up to 24 hours before shipping. In its labs, components are subjected to electric jolts, violent vibrations and 350° temperature swings, and tested to stand up to at least 20 years of heavy use.
